"Help Wanted"
Unlike most help wanted ads you’ll read, this job doesn’t pay anything, unless you consider the satisfaction that will come from defeating stillbirth to be nothing.
The “job” is State Director for The National Stillbirth Society in your home state. If you reached this page chances are we may not have a volunteer in your state yet.
At the time we posted this ad we had 20 states assigned and 30 states available. If you suffered the loss of a child to stillbirth, you’re a candidate. If you’re computer literate and can spare some time to co-ordinate the efforts of volunteers like you in your home state, you’re a candidate. If you’re not willing to accept the fact “that’s the way things are in life” you’re a candidate.
Common traits of existing State Directors include love for their stillborn babies, a passion for changing the way society views stillbirth, and the fervent desire to be a part of saving babies lives. As you sadly discovered when you became a stillbirth mother, no prior experience is required.
The next step is to drop us an e-mail and let us know you might be interested. If you include a phone number Richard Olsen, Executive Director and a stillbirth father himself, will be happy to give you a call to discuss any questions you might have.
The time is now to act. Stillbirth reform is an idea whose time has come!
Richard K. Olsen
Executive Director
