When you join the National Stillbirth Society you'll add your name to the ranks of those who are banding together to fight this most awful of life's tragedies, the death of a baby before birth. Far from being a rare event it strikes over 26,000 American women every year, the majority losing viable babies at or near term for no apparent reason.

     Compounding the sadness of stillbirth is the fact so little is being done to study it. Until recently The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the #1 government research body in the country, invested less than $5 annually per stillbirth fatality in finding a way to reduce the incidence.

     By default it is us, the parents of these babies, along with our family and friends, who have taken on the task of creating a groundswell of support for research by creating an awareness of the problem throughout America. We are volunteers giving of our time to make a difference. You can make a difference too by becoming a member. Help fund the fight because if we don't, who else will?
